Higher education or enterprise experience preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications: Network certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent preferred. Computer Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switching. Experience with Alcatel, Cisco, or similar networking equipment preferred. Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and wireless network management systems. Communication/Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service abilities. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: 24/7 on-call rotation; occasional night or weekend work required for upgrades or maintenance; some physical activity such as lifting network equipment or cabling. ## Description The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the College's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of campus data and voice systems. The incumbent will assist in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of network systems, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related equipment.
