This role does not involve layout design or copywriting; instead, the publisher is provided a finalized Figma file and translates that design into Drupal by mapping elements to the appropriate modules and components. Day-to-day work includes assembling pages using existing modules, adding text, configuring blocks, and placing pre-identified images. In some cases, light build work may be required, such as creating or adjusting blocks to align with the provided design. Familiarity with Figma (or similar tools like Lucid) is helpful, as designs are handed off directly and not created by this role. The team also uses Binder as a digital asset management system, so experience pulling and managing assets from a DAM is a plus. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys executing clean, accurate page builds from clearly defined designs. ## Related Videos - [Bridging the Gap](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/794-bridging-the-gap) - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [Blazing Fast Page Navigation with Speculation Rules](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1570-blazing-fast-page-navigation-with-speculation-rules) - [Decoupling 101 - Why decouple, when not to, progressive decoupling and success stories in decoupling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/266-decoupling-101-why-decouple-when-not-to-progressive-decoupling-and-success-stories-in-decoupling) - [Fireside Chat with Kris Rasmussen, CTO at Figma](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/982-fireside-chat-with-kris-rasmussen-cto-at-figma) - [Bridging the gap between design and development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/992-bridging-the-gap-between-design-and-development) ## Related Articles - [10 Essential Figma Plugins for Frontend Developers in 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/262-10-essential-figma-plugins-for-frontend-developers-in-2023) - [A call for Guest Writers for the WeAreDevelopers Magazine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/648-a-call-for-guest-writers-for-the-wearedevelopers-magazine) - [Web Developer Portfolio Inspiration and Examples - March 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/561-web-developer-portfolio-inspiration-and-examples-march-2025) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 133 - Back to Front](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/474-dev-digest-133-back-to-front) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix)
