Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Experience developing and managing system and test requirements through the full product lifecycle. * Familiarity with verification planning, test requirement development, and supporting system test execution. * Proficiency with requirements management (e.g., Visure, DOORS) and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML). * Understanding of safety-critical development standards such as DO-178C and DO-254. * Strong analytical and technical communication skills., * Experience in military or aerospace programs supporting system verification and test. * Exposure to embedded OS, RTOS architectures, or embedded firmware/software integration. * Familiarity with FPGA logic, electrical and mechanical interface management, and system-level integration. * 8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, preferably in embedded systems, avionics, or defense applications. * Proven track record or leading projects, managing teams, and mentoring junior engineers. * Proficiency in various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or Unix. * Strong understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, UDP and applicable security measures. * Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google cloud. * Proficiency with scripting languages such as python and automation tools such as LabVIEW. * Experience in DO-178C/DO-254 processes and deliverables * Able to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Able to plan, execute, and monitor projects including resources and timelines. * Interfaces with third party suppliers and derives best technical solutions. * Owns technical delivery on a phased gate development process. * Able to derive requirements traceability and architecture using tools such as Cameo, Visure, DOORS, or JAMA. ## Description Palomar Products is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development and sustainment of our Intercommunication System for military aerospace platforms. This role will drive system-level requirements, architecture development, and design coordination across disciplines.
