## About the Role

Do you have experience in IT?, * To be able to use PLS CADD and Tower software.

 * To have working knowledge of National Grid, SPEN, SSE, ENA and other relevant industry standards.
 * Have knowledge of different types of conductors, insulators and fittings.
 * Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
 * Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
 * Good written and verbal communication skills.

## Description

We're recruiting a Design Engineer with expertise in OHL (Overhead Lines) for our Energy Division. This role is hybrid to our Nottingham office.

 * Interpret project requirements and develop engineering solutions that meet applicable standards.
 * Produce design calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
 * Prepare feasibility studies, assessments and technical notes.
 * Carry out site visits, inspections, surveys and assessments to gather design information.
 * Record site data accurately and identify risks, constraints or opportunities relevant to design development.
 * Work collaboratively with internal teams including engineers, technicians, project managers, planners and delivery teams.
 * Liaise with clients, stakeholders and third parties to resolve design queries and obtain required information.
 * Ensure coordinated design outputs across all related disciplines
 * Follow internal design procedures, quality standards and assurance requirements.
 * Ensure all outputs comply with relevant legislation, safety requirements and technical standards.
 * Maintain accurate design records, version control and documentation.
 * Identify opportunities for improvement or innovation in design processes.
