Minimum Requirements PHYSICAL SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Standard office setting but may require interviewing inmates within the jail/housing locations. Primarily a sedentary position requiring up to seven hours per day sitting. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent and three (3) years of experience using a computer and performing routine office duties OR an Associate degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required. ADA STATEMENT: A qualified employee or applicant with a disability may be afforded a reasonable accommodation to perform the essential job functions of a position in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. ## Description Classification Technicians are tasked with day to day functions of identifying and tracking the status of inmates who may be Veterans, foreign born, inmates with medical or mental health concerns, gang members, inmates eligible for worker status, inmates with holds from other agencies/states and the Department of Corrections, juvenile inmates, and inmates meeting the Jessica Lundsford Act or Anti Murder Act. Completes forms and reports and other routine office duties. Conduct inmate orientation, review inmate criminal histories and relevant classification considerations which may change throughout incarceration. Performs related work as required., EMERGENCY RESPONSE/RECOVERY ACTIVITIES: All employees will be required to work before, during, or after an emergency.
