This role works closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and integration teams to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and high-performing Salesforce capabilities., Salesforce Development and Customization * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs. * Build custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, flows, approval processes, custom metadata, and platform automation based on business needs. * Develop reusable and scalable components that follow Salesforce coding standards, security requirements, and governor-limit best practices. * Customize Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other Salesforce products based on organizational requirements. * Evaluate declarative versus programmatic options and recommend the most maintainable solution for each requirement. Requirements Analysis and Solution Design * Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to review requirements, clarify business rules, identify gaps, and propose Salesforce solution options. * Translate functional requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria into technical designs and development tasks. * Prepare technical specifications, design notes, configuration documents, deployment instructions, and support documentation. * Participate in solution design sessions and provide input on feasibility, effort estimates, dependencies, technical risks, and implementation approach. Security, Performance, and Platform Best Practices * Implement Salesforce security controls including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, field-level security, object permissions, and record visibility rules. * Develop code that follows secure coding standards, handles exceptions properly, protects sensitive data, and respects user permissions. * Optimize Apex, SOQL, flows, and Lightning components for performance, scalability, reliability, and user experience. * Monitor and resolve governor-limit issues, performance bottlenecks, long-running transactions, and platform constraints. * Follow Salesforce best practices for multi-tenant architecture, metadata management, configuration governance, and technical debt reduction. Testing, Deployment, and Release Management * Write, maintain, and execute Apex unit tests with sufficient code coverage and meaningful assertions to validate business logic and prevent regressions. * Support system testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation activities. * Use Salesforce DX, Git, change sets, DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools for source control and deployment automation. * Prepare deployment plans, release notes, rollback plans, and post-deployment validation steps. * Participate in code reviews and ensure development work meets quality, security, and maintainability standards. Production Support and Continuous Improvement * Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve Salesforce production issues, user-reported defects, integration failures, automation errors, and data inconsistencies. * Provide root-cause analysis and recommend preventive actions to improve platform stability. * Support ongoing enhancements, platform upgrades, managed package updates, Salesforce release readiness, and technical maintenance activities. * Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, reduce manual work, and increase automation within Salesforce.
