This role is designed for an early-career engineer who is eager to learn quickly, write clean code, and contribute to mission-driven software that helps physicians and patients better understand and navigate healthcare. This position is hands-on and execution-focused. The engineer will work closely with senior technical team members to understand existing systems, implement assigned features, improve documentation, strengthen testing, and support the stability of the platform as HGP grows. Core ResponsibilitiesCodebase Familiarization & Documentation - Review and document existing codebases, workflows, and system architecture under the guidance of senior engineers. - Help maintain clear internal documentation so the engineering team can understand systems, dependencies, and implementation decisions. - Ask strong questions, identify gaps in documentation, and contribute to a learning-oriented engineering environment. Feature Implementation Support - Assist with building, testing, and refining software features for HGP's medical education platform and internal tools. - Translate assigned requirements into clean, maintainable code with support from senior engineers. - Contribute to small feature enhancements that improve usability, reliability, and workflow efficiency. Testing, Debugging & Quality Assurance - Help review, update, and expand automated tests to improve platform reliability. - Investigate bugs, broken tests, and basic performance issues, escalating complex issues when appropriate. - Support quality assurance processes to ensure new and existing functionality performs as expected.
