## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, i.e., engineering, computer science, or information sciences
 * 4+ years of software engineering experience with Java and large software development programs
 * 3+ years using Oracle and service-oriented architecture (SOA) interfaces to web-based applications
 * Experience with AWS cloud services.

## Description

* Performing engineering assignments relative to the operations and maintenance of the customer system
 * Demonstrate a strong understanding and use of programming skills.
 * Possess a logical and disciplined approach to developing algorithms, analyzing, and solving programming problems in support of the customer system.
 * Perform manual software assurance reviews and automated software assurance reviews.
 * Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software or systems to include requirements documentation, design documentation, configuration documentation, test documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
 * Analyse, predict, and estimate potential consequences of changes prior to deployment of software solutions and modifications.
 * Provide scalability, maintainability, and performance documentation prior to implementation of modifications to the customer system.
 * Plan and track any information and new development features for future software releases.
 * Ability to provide software solutions in a cloud-based software development environment, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
 * Facilitate program optimization and performance through software profiling and performance tuning.
 * Assist with software configuration management to include version controls, bug/issue tracking, and software build tools.
