## About the Role

* 2 years experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 * Ability to work both in a team and individually

 * Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail

 * Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction * Working knowledge of C++/C# in a Visual Studio environment.

 * Good software debugging skills.

 * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products a plus.

## Description

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer I to support a federal client in Suffolk, VA.

Essential Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 * Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

 * Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

 * Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
