Knowledge of: * Experience in providing first or second-tier information technology technical support * Track record of learning new technologies and finding solutions via research. * Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical end-users. * Considerable knowledge of server maintenance and administration. * Knowledge of networking principles. * General knowledge of data base principles; programming languages; and data backup and recovery principles and procedures. * Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to evaluate the capabilities of hardware and software. * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, conflicts, and problems. * Ability to develop priorities in a dynamic environment. * Ability to work independently or in a team. * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, City officials, and information technology vendors. * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
