## About the Role

Do you have experience in Managing patient records?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Sapphire Recruitment is hiring a Release of Information Specialist for a fully remote opportunity for a Florida state resident. This position is ideal for someone with medical records, ROI, Epic, and healthcare documentation experience who is highly accurate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently., * 3-5+ years of Release of Information experience preferred

 * Epic experience required
 * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
 * At least 2 years of medical records experience
 * At least 2 years of clerical or office experience
 * Healthcare setting experience preferred
 * Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to Protected Health Information preferred
 * RHIT certification preferred
 * Proficiency with computers, scanners, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment
 * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

## Description

* Process medical record release requests in a timely and accurate manner
 * Enter and manage request information using ROI software
 * Use Epic and other healthcare systems to review and process documentation
 * Read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations
 * Organize records and documents to complete the ROI process
 * Help resolve HIPAA-related release issues
 * Follow established procedures to maintain confidentiality and compliance
 * Provide professional customer service by phone, email, or other communication channels
 * Attend required training and support department needs as assigned
