Most importantly, they want ownership and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the success of the business. Why Someone Leaves a Large Company for This Role At many larger organizations, accounting professionals spend years becoming experts in one narrow area-A/P, payroll, reporting, cost accounting, or financial analysis. This role is different. Here, you'll see how the entire business works. You'll work directly with ownership. You'll understand how jobs move through the shop, how customers are served, how profitability is created, and how decisions are made. You'll have the opportunity to improve systems, influence processes, and help shape the future direction of the company. Your work won't disappear into a corporate reporting structure.
