## About the Role

* Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum engineering or equivalent degree with minimum GPA 7.5 and above

 * Min 2 yrs. of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred)

 * Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications)

 * Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:

o Well construction - drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring

o Well completions - completion designs, well performance analysis,

 * Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage.

 * Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.

 * Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.

 * ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional)

 * Well versed with Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA)

 * Comfortable with Agile methodologies

 * Excellent Communication Skills

## Description

* Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories

 * Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria

 * Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality

 * Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing

 * Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows

 * Define, create and maintain Test environments

 * Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories

 * Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality

 * Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion

 * Track Bugs through resolution and implementation
