* Background in backend development
 * Experience in Python, or another modern language, and an eagerness to work primarily in Python
 * Experience building web applications, systems, and APIs
 * Good understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL
 * Experience working with production systems and contributing to technical decisions

Nice to have
