 * Proficiency with languages such as C++, C, Python, and Perl
 * Experience with software and firmware design
 * Familiarity with hardware integration
 * Problem solving and critical thinking
 * Experience in project management and planning
 * Good teamwork and communication skills
 * Experience with 3D printing
 * Strong preference for engineers who are confident in their own code written without GPT, Claude, or other Artificial Intelligence

## Description

* Plan and oversee development of a modified open source slicing software in collaboration with contracted development team
 * Modify and maintain Marlin firmware, using appropriate documentation for ongoing development with other team members
 * Investigate possible transition to Reprap, to meet needs of possible hardware changes.
 * Test iterations of slicing software and firmware on prototype 3D printers.
 * Record and analyse results of testing to communicate with team and interested parties, and recommend relevant development decisions and priorities
 * Identify bugs and problems and implement changes in a timely manner
 * Coordinate with other engineering personnel on design and integration
 * Compile reports on ongoing projects and document results
 * Assist in presentations, demos, and potentially trade shows
 * Performs other related duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.

Pay: From $62,000.00 per year
