The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian platform. This role requires a strong understanding of Appian's capabilities and a solid background in software development as well as a passion for creating efficient and user-friendly solutions., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Appian Developer. * Appian certification (e.g., Appian Certified Developer) is a significant plus. Technical Skills: * Proven experience with the Appian platform, including Appian Process Modeler, SAIL, Records, Sites, and Integrations. * Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL. * Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * Familiarity with web services (REST/SOAP) and APIs. * Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Soft Skills: * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. * Must be a US citizen and/or green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance. * Prior FDA experience is a plus. ## Description * Design, develop, and deploy applications using the Appian platform and knowledge of all Appian components including process models, Record Types, SAIL interfaces, Database and CDT/Data type development, APIs, reports, and integrations. * Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical specifications. * Experience developing new Appian applications and establishing initial data structures and security / group membership model * Utilize Appian's low-code capabilities to rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions. Integration and Data Management: * Integrate Appian applications with external systems using web services (SOAP/REST), JDBC, and other integration methods. * Experience working with developing or maintaining Appian Plugins. * Ability to troubleshoot integration and connection challenges between Appian and other external systems. * Design and implement data models and manage data within Appian to ensure data integrity and security. * Develop and optimize Appian and SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Testing and Quality Assurance: * Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of Appian applications. * Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely resolutions. * Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and best practices.
