This position ensures the integrity, security, accuracy, and accessibility of student, staff, and operational data while supporting district decision-making, accountability initiatives, and state and federal reporting requirements., * Serve as the district administrator for Aspen. * Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SIS modules including enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, transcripts, discipline, and parent portals. * Manage user accounts, permissions, security roles, and system access. * Coordinate SIS upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features. * Provide technical support and training to school and district staff. * Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guides. Data Management and Analytics * Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of student, staff, and program data. * Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Excel, OpenArchitects, or other data visualization platforms. * Support district strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting. * Perform data validation, auditing, and quality-control processes. State Reporting and Compliance * Coordinate all required state and federal reporting submissions. * Manage Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) reporting requirements, including: SIMS, SCS, EPIMS, and SSDR. * Monitor changes in reporting requirements and ensure district compliance. * Conduct regular audits to identify and correct data discrepancies prior to submissions. * Support district preparation for state, federal, and program audits. Data Governance and Security * Ensure compliance with: FERPA, IDEA, Section 504, State student privacy regulations, and District data governance policies, etc. * Maintain secure handling and transmission of sensitive student and employee information. * Develop and implement data governance standards and best practices. * Collaborate with IT staff on cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
