Public and synthetic data are no longer enough; the next gains in model capability depend on data that reflects how organizations actually operate, and that data lives inside companies. We're hiring a Data Partnership Specialist to source it. Reporting directly to the Head of Data Development, you will identify, pitch, negotiate, and close data partnerships with companies and institutions. You'll sit between two demanding audiences: frontier lab researchers who define what data is valuable, and enterprise leaders who control access to it. Your job is to translate between them and turn that translation into signed, recurring, compliant partnerships. This is a senior, high-ownership role. You will run deals end to end and be measured on clear KPIs. Success means closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships and setting a high standard for how Handshake AI sources data. * Own the full lifecycle of enterprise data partnerships: source targets, pitch executives, structure terms, and close agreements that supply proprietary real-world data to AI labs. * Translate frontier lab data requirements into target-partner profiles and a coherent sourcing strategy. * Structure commercial and compensation models; work with legal, security, and compliance to land data licensing, privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and anonymization terms that hold up to lab and enterprise scrutiny. * Manage senior stakeholder relationships, often at the C-suite, through long and technical sales cycles. * Partner with engineering and data teams to scope data, integrations, and delivery so signed deals convert into shipped datasets. * Forecast and report on pipeline and closed partnerships with rigor. ## Related Videos - [AI PowerPlay: Building High-Impact Teams & Transformative Solutions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1005-ai-powerplay-building-high-impact-teams-transformative-solutions) - [Edit Your Future: Queerverse Radical AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/909-edit-your-future-queerverse-radical-ai) - [Discover the open source trio you didn’t expect: .NET and PostgreSQL on Linux](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2042-discover-the-open-source-trio-you-didn-t-expect-net-and-postgresql-on-linux) - [Behind the Curtain: How Recruiters Shortlist Devs in an AI-Driven Market and How You Stand Out](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100229-behind-the-curtain-how-recruiters-shortlist-devs-in-an-ai-driven-market-and-how-you-stand-out) - [AI is dead, long live AK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1093-ai-is-dead-long-live-ak) - [Rapid GraphQL API Development with PostGraphile](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/214-rapid-graphql-api-development-with-postgraphile) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How to Turn Community Events Into a Powerful AI GTM Engine: The Daytona Playbook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/732-how-to-turn-community-events-into-a-powerful-ai-gtm-engine-the-daytona-playbook) - [How to start an AI project for a good cause and boost your career](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/15-how-to-start-an-ai-project-for-a-good-cause-and-boost-your-career) - [13 AI Tools You Have to Try](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/219-13-ai-tools-you-have-to-try) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production)
