Nice to Have * CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification. * Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or basic user/account administration. * Basic networking knowledge such as IP addresses, Wi-Fi, switches, cabling, and VLAN concepts. * Experience with RMM tools, endpoint security tools, or remote support tools. * Experience supporting warehouse devices, barcode scanners, label printers, or shared workstations. * Interest in growing into Level 2 support, systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity. ## Description CPU Defender LLC is hiring a full-time On-Site IT Support Technician to support day-to-day technology operations at a client facility in Romeoville, IL. This role is a good fit for someone with help desk or desktop support experience who wants steady on-site work, real hands-on variety, and the opportunity to grow beyond basic Level 1 support. You will be the first point of contact for everyday IT issues, supporting office users, warehouse users, workstations, printers, peripherals, conference room equipment, and basic account/software needs. You will work directly under the owner of CPU Defender and receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to real business IT operations. The goal is to hire someone who can confidently handle Level 1 support today and grow into stronger Level 2 responsibilities over time.
