Knowledge/Skills/Abilities + Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Willingness to learn new technologies and platforms in a higher education setting. + Experience with AV platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar. + Understanding of video editing or basic multimedia production. + Basic knowledge of cabling and signal flow for IT and AV systems. + Exposure to higher education IT systems and learning management platforms. + Familiarity with identity management, MFA, and security tools. + Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VLANs). + Experience with audio visual systems or classroom technology. + Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell preferred). + Experience working in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow. Working Conditions + Extensive Use of Computers + Extensive time sitting/standing + Able to lift up to 15 lbs. ## Description The Junior Systems Administrator provides day-to-day operational support for the institution's systems, servers, cloud services, and enterprise applications. This role assists in maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure across academic and administrative environments. The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a mid-level systems administration role while supporting faculty, staff, and students.
