In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for inpatient pharmacy workflows and Epic Willow Inpatient configurations, supporting safe, efficient, and compliant medication management across the hospital setting. You will play a critical role in day to day application support, system optimization, and collaboration with clinical, technical, and offshore teams to deliver high quality Epic EHR solutions in a fast paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will bring 4+ years of experience in Epic application management, with a strong track record in day-to-day operations, client stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional and offshore teams. This remote opportunity is open to individuals located in the United States . Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office. The project hours of operations will be Monday - Friday , in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time . Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, BCforward , which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes. Key Responsibilities Core Duties Serve as the primary SME for Epic Willow Inpatient , supporting pharmacy application workflows, configurations, and operational stability Manage and prioritize daily application support activities, including incident resolution, service requests, and SLA adherence Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pharmacy automation, dispensing cabinets/robots, interfaces, printers, labels, and error queues Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability, patient safety, and workflow efficiency Deliverables or Project Scope Build, maintain, and optimize inpatient pharmacy configurations including medication order sets, formulary setup, IV workflows, compounding, and repackaging Configure and support medication billing and charging workflows , including NDC billing, pharmacy charge maps, and 340B processes Develop and maintain BPA/OPA alerts and decision-support tools to enhance clinical quality and medication safety Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, testing, documentation, and end-user training to ensure compliant and effective system adoption Collaboration Tools or Platforms Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Epic EHR (Willow Inpatient, CPOE, Pharmacy Verification) for configuration, testing, and production support Pharmacy automation systems (dispensing cabinets, robots, interfaces) for integrated medication workflows Collaboration and ticketing tools (e.g., Teams, ServiceNow/JIRA or equivalent) to manage incidents, enhancements, and cross team communication Documentation and knowledge sharing platforms for build specifications, workflows, training materials, and compliance artifacts, This is a contractor role administered through a third-party payroll supplier.
