The Senior Oracle Cloud Applications Engineer role supports Markel's Global Financial Systems team, helping deliver and run core finance technology used across the organization. This position works across Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) cloud services, as well as related Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Disbursement applications. The role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting integrations in Oracle Cloud environments to enable reliable data flow, interoperability, and secure operations. Success in this role requires strong Oracle Cloud technical expertise with an emphasis on automation, security, governance, and compliance. In this role, you will partner with finance and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into well-designed technical solutions and deliver enhancements from concept through production support. You will collaborate closely with architects, analysts, engineers, software vendors, project managers, and third parties, and you will communicate effectively with business partners across multiple regions.
