## About the Role

* 1-2 years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer

 * Expert-level SQL skills including complex queries, joins, subqueries, window functions, and query optimization

 * Familiarity with statistical concepts and methods

 * Basic understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture

 * Experience with Python or R or Similar Code Language for data analysis including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation

 * Experience with at least one data visualization tool (Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI, or similar)

 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 * Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

 * Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related quantitative field such as math/statistics, computer science or a related field

 * Exposure to cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred)

 * SAS experience

## Description

A client of Insight Global in the retail & technology industry is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support a growing business group of senior team members to transform data into actionable insights that support business decisions across the organization. The daily duties include but are not limited to:

 * Develop and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and analysis

 * Create data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI

 * Build basic ETL processes and data pipelines under guidance

 * Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements

 * Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies

 * Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency

 * Ensure data quality and accuracy in reporting

 * Document technical processes and data definitions

 * Support ad-hoc analysis requests from business partners
