Lead the end to end hardware development lifecycle (concept, architecture, detailed design, prototyping, verification, production, and transition to sustainment). Engineer reliability and fault tolerance: redundant system design, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), health monitoring, alerting, and maintainability plans. Architect modular, scalable compute infrastructure: blade servers, GPU clusters, PCIe/NVLink high speed interconnects, and edge compute packaging that can be deployed as a "rack as a unit." Drive system modernization/technology refresh processes, evaluating emerging COTS components and overseeing integration into the production line. Desired skills Design to Production: Proven ability to shepherd a hardware concept through detailed design, prototype, verification, low rate production, and hand off to sustainment/manufacturing. System modernization / technology refresh process knowledge Compute Architecture: Experience with blade servers, GPU clusters, high speed interconnects (PCIe, NVLink), and edge compute constraints.
