## About the Role

* 4+ years of experience in an IT support or laboratory environment.
 * Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop support.
 * Experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
 * Basic networking knowledge, including connectivity troubleshooting.
 * Experience supporting instrument-controlled computers and laboratory IT systems.
 * Knowledge of Windows security administration (user/group permissions, Group Policies, file and folder security).
 * Experience with computer imaging, software deployment, and system upgrades.
 * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and remote support tools.
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
 * Excellent customer service and client-facing communication skills.
 * Ability to work effectively with instrument vendors, laboratory personnel, and infrastructure teams.
 * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
 * Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within defined timelines.
 * Experience maintaining IT asset inventories and documentation.
 * Familiarity with backup and recovery systems.
 * Ability to work in laboratory environments while following safety and compliance requirements.
 * Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs and move between laboratories and buildings.
