## About the Role

* Level 5: Bachelor's degree in Science with 12+ years of relative experience; 10+ years with a Master's; An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
 * Requires an active DoD Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and CI Poly at time of application.
 * Programming Languages/Skills: Proficiency in C/C++, Shell scripting, Python and understating of databases.
 * DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, confluence). Experience with Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
 * Testing and Debugging: Ability to troubleshoot, make bug fixes, and code improvements.
 * Algorithm Experience: Experience with Digital Signal Processing algorithms.

## Description

We have an opening for an algorithm-oriented Software Engineer to support algorithm development, testing, and evaluation of a new physics-based machine learning initiative on the Aurora campus. The selected candidate will be part of a fast-paced, highly technical team assisting program leadership and the customer in the design and development of a system to automatically calibrate radio frequency (RF) systems using a combination of physical knowledge and large data sets. The ideal candidate will have experience with some combination of Digital Signal Processing , RF apertures, regression mathematics.

Job duties will include but are not limited to: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
