Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants: * Have some experience with real-time Crime center applications (AXON/Fusus). * Have two (2) years of experience in network management and support, the internet, computers, network hardware and software, fiber optic systems, and communications devices such as modems, routers, and data switches., Minimum Qualification: Applicants must meet selection standards for civilians working in the Police Department, including polygraph and background check. Please refer to the St. Petersburg Police Department Website for selection standards and screening process details: Selection Standards: https://police.stpete.org/employmentTelecommunicator/documents/application-process-non-sworn.pdf ## Description This is technical and analytical work in the Police Departments real-time crime center, involving the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and ongoing support of camera systems components and personal computer applications. Work includes monitoring and supporting multiple camera systems and hardware implementations, evaluating, assessing and correcting PC/laptop issues, assisting with the planning, testing and implementation of new technology requirements including upgrades, networking and software fixes; assisting with the optimization of wireless network performance; and assisting with the coordination of routine hardware maintenance and software upgrades efforts with other city technicians and vendors. Leads in the response to incidents regarding the installation, support, and maintenance of the St Petersburg Police Department overall surveillance posture.
