The qualified candidate will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership along with various external stakeholders, to help design and implement AWS Resiliency and Recovery capabilities including cross-AZ recovery procedures, infrastructure automation, and automated failover orchestration. This position will require experience across multiple System Engineering and architecture domains with a focus on standing up and maintaining cloud environments, and the deployment of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments with a Geospatial focus. Responsibilities: This position involves systems engineering activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. Analyze current system(s) architecture as well as service and systems dependencies from a full-stack perspective (Platform, Service, Code and Server) perspective Identify and communicate use cases and implementation options where existing system availability and resiliency can be improved Improve mission assurance, reduce operational risk, and enhance continuity of operations during AWS infrastructure disruptions. Collaborate with other program technical leadership on the system architecture roadmap and backlog aligned to customer's technology strategy and vision.
