Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) * Familiarity with DoD or federal system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and compliance requirements. * Knowledge of DoD software documentation standards, including SDD, IDD, SDP, ICD, and CDRL requirements. * Understanding of RMF, ATO, and Cybersecurity Testing/Validation (e.g., STIG compliance). * Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model-Based Testing (MBT) practices. * Experience in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments, and use of tools like Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest. * Security+ or other DoD 8570-compliant certification preferred. Physical Requirements * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. * This position is hybrid located in St. Paul, MN. * Fully remote candidates may be considered with increased expectation for travel. * This position may require the ability to travel up to 5%., Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment. ## Description The Test Engineer plays a critical role in software validation by designing, executing, and assisting with the maintenance of test cases to ensure the system meets defined requirements, perform as intended, and is free of defects prior to deployments. This position is responsible for software verification and validation (V&V) activities, ensuring that enterprise systems meet functional performance, and compliance requirements - particularly for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The Test Engineer will support formal and informal testing while ensuring the collection of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to support system certification and accreditation. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of relevant experience in software testing, validation and test automation within complex IT enterprise systems such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or similar platforms in regulated settings - and possesses hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
