If it hasn't, that's ok too. Ready for a change of scenery and a project you actually own? Let's talk. ## Description We are looking for a Platform Architect for an initial 90-day sprint. You will work directly with the founders and our offshore development team., * Location: On-Site, Saint Petersburg, Florida. (Perfect if you're looking for a fresh environment and a physical whiteboard to collaborate on). * Compensation: Limited initial budget, but carries massive long-term upside, equity, and bonuses for achieving primary objective. * The Vibe: Pure startup. Zero red tape. Direct founders' collaboration. High autonomy, high ambiguity, and beautiful chaos. Your Mission Your primary objective is to spearhead the evolution of our existing codebase into an API-driven architecture and oversee its live deployment within our WebRTC project. What you'll do: * Transition our architecture from a localized codebase to an API-accessible platform. * Work with founders while coordinating development and deployment with our offshore programmers. * Prove the concept: Deliver a functioning, API-driven implementation that shows exactly how our codebase will scale into future applications. Core Responsibilities 1. Technical Assessment & Roadmap * Review the existing codebase and identify necessary architectural changes to support seamless API access. * Evaluate scalability and maintainability requirements to produce a practical, no-nonsense implementation roadmap. 2. API Architecture & Design * Design clean API endpoints, service architecture, and integration specifications. * Define robust authentication/authorization methods and establish developer documentation standards. 3. Offshore Team Leadership * Break down the high-level architecture into actionable development tasks for offshore developers. * Review implementation quality, resolve technical blockers, and keep milestones on schedule. 4. WebRTC Deployment * Lead integration planning, defining the communication layer between our WebRTC deployment and the core codebase. * Validate functionality through rigorous testing and document lessons learned for future integrations. ## Related Videos - [Improving quality with Agentic AI with Rovo Dev and Xray](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2005-improving-quality-with-agentic-ai-with-rovo-dev-and-xray) - [MySQL Protocol Features You Should Be Aware Of](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100267-mysql-protocol-features-you-should-be-aware-of) - [Post-Quantum Cryptography: Preparing for Q-Day](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100179-post-quantum-cryptography-preparing-for-q-day) - [Build and Deploy a Fullstack App with Open Source Tooling](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/775-build-and-deploy-a-fullstack-app-with-open-source-tooling) - [Collaboration Quantified: Lessons from Open Source Developer Networks](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1422-collaboration-quantified-lessons-from-open-source-developer-networks) - [But, you're not Facebook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/378-but-you-re-not-facebook) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix)
