+ High school diploma or GED

 + Previous work experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing setting

 + Experience with Mastercam software

 + Experience with Mazak and Okuma

 + Ability to read and interpret design blueprints

 + Extensive experience with computer modeling software

 + Strong attention to detail

 + Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline

 + Ability to work after-hours when required

## Description

+ Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models

 + Perform complex set-ups including creating CNC Programs, take a part from print to first piece

 + Input the product design into the computer modeling software

 + Decipher CMM Printouts and apply correct adjustments to keep part in spec

 + Build basic fixtures for production

 + Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the job

 + Adjust machine settings to desired specifications

 + Setup work area for efficient material flow

 + Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, quality control or others to resolve machining problems and optimize programs and tooling

 + Complete gage room documentation for first piece approval

 + Possess a complete knowledge of machine tool and control functions

 + troubleshoot problems in manufacturing

 + Train employees to operate CNC equipment and set-up basics

 + Complete or update setup instructions and/or work instructions, tooling sheets, etc.
