The intention is to create high level process for the technical run teams to assume the daily operational responsibilities. Defined by the SOW and with support of the Sales Team and Program Management, the Transition Manager will run the information collection, mock migrations and systems validation that will conclude with a final cutover to a new hosted production environment., * Lead transitions of services for Mainframe clients into the Company''s support. Work as a liaison to the client during the transition and be the conduit between the Company''s mainframe resources with the clients'' internal IT staff * Understand the mainframe technical and functional areas well enough to involve the appropriate resources as needed to ensure a successful migration. * Running large scale meetings for technical teams to exchange information and discuss solutions will be a daily occurrence for this position. * As discrepancies are uncovered during the migration, the Transition Manager will determine if these are in-scope or if the client needs to be engaged to solution. * The Transition Manager will report status to a Project Manager who is responsible for keeping the entire project on task. The Transition Manager is not responsible for network, security, ITSM, and other aspects of Company s support but rather limited to the Mainframe systems support * Will attend meetings to review proposed solutions prior to solutions being presented to clients.
