## About the Role

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent
 * Experience: Entry-level mechanical/industrial (trade school or tools experience)
 * License: Valid driver's license + ability to obtain CDL within 18 months
 * Strong focus on safety
 * General knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and heavy equipment
 * Basic computer skills (MS Office) and communication skills
 * Ability to wear PPE (respirator, fall protection, etc.)

## Description

The Construction and Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of company system infrastructure and facilities, as well as emergency response within the service territory.

What you'll be doing:

 * Assists with operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and facilities
 * Maintains company equipment, facilities, and grounds (operations centers, M&R, City Gate, compressor stations, etc.)
 * Performs pipeline maintenance (leak repairs, cathodic protection, clearing rights of way, valve maintenance)
 * Operates equipment (backhoes, excavators, trenchers) with guidance and maintains daily records
 * Conducts equipment inspections (including pre/post trip)
 * Keeps company truck stocked and organized
 * Performs light maintenance on facilities/equipment
 * Assists with peak shaving processes as needed

Where you'll be working:

 * Primarily outdoor/field work
 * Weekend and on-call rotation required
 * Exposure to noise, weather, gas, electricity
