## Description

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician position is a technical helpdesk position within our Managed Services team. The position is responsible for assisting with escalations directly from customers as well as from Microcom customer service reps, field technicians, and other departments., * Diagnose network problems and provide customers with effective resolutions.

 * Document all network outages, calls, and solutions in the trouble ticket database.
 * Engage field operations for network equipment issues as needed; use software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems; use provided tools to localize network problems to host or remote equipment.
 * Escalate more difficult issues to the appropriate technical team.
 * Diagnose network problems and provide customers with effective resolutions
 * Continual increase of technical knowledge through research and development within the department.
