Salary - $120,000 - $140,000. The Senior Systems Engineer is a senior-level infrastructure professional responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems across a global, multi-office environment. This role requires deep hands-on technical expertise combined with the ability to lead by example, guide other engineers, and take ownership of complex technical outcomes. This position is suited for a senior engineer who enjoys staying close to the technology, proactively solving problems, and supporting a team to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure., Core Engineering Responsibilities * Design, build, operate, and support Cloud infrastructure (M365) * Serve as a senior technical escalation point (Tier 3) for complex infrastructure issues, including incident response and root-cause analysis * Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and cloud services across enterprise environments * Monitor system performance, availability, and storage utilization, and proactively address risks, capacity issues, and technical debt * Plan and execute system upgrades and improvements to support growth, stability, and security * Implement and maintain security standards and controls across infrastructure platforms * Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, standards, and procedures Automation & Platform Improvement * Support and implement automation initiatives to improve reliability, efficiency, and consistency * Manage and support open-source platforms and tools used within the infrastructure environment * Continuously evaluate and improve tooling, monitoring, and operational processes Team Collaboration & Leadership Provide technical guidance and mentoring to systems administrators and engineersSupport team members by reviewing designs, assisting with complex troubleshooting, and sharing best practices. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects and operational improvements. Support escalated helpdesk requests when required.
