## Description

The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining network infrastructure or systems infrastructure depending on assignment, resolving technical issues, and using a proactive problem-solving approach to ensure seamless connectivity across the organization. The incumbent will apply knowledge and experience, including an understanding of the OSI model and good operational practices to achieve this., * Administer and maintain network hardware including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems.

 * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
 * Monitor network and systems performance and implement necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
 * Replace or upgrade faulty components as needed.
 * Collaborate with users to troubleshoot and resolve system-related concerns.
 * Implement patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure network and systems security and reliability.
 * Coordinate installations and upgrades with internal teams and external vendors.
 * Respond to system alerts and lead troubleshooting efforts in complex environments.
 * Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, device configurations, and backup protocols.
 * Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
 * Periodic after hours on-call
 * Other duties as assigned.
