* Proficient in the usage of PostgreSQL, Timescale and Microsoft SQL Server databases
 * Strong knowledge of ETL solutions (Azure Data Factory preferred)
 * Strong knowledge of Azure cloud database technologies.
 * Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
 * Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration
 * Knowledge of database partitioning procedures
 * Knowledge of database security best practices
 * Proven history of using excellent problem-solving skills to address technical issues
 * Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, management, and other stakeholders
 * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

## Description

* Designing, building and optimizing queries in MS SQL and PostgreSQL
 * Reading and interpreting execution plans in SQL Server and PostgreSQL to troubleshoot query performance issues
 * Designing, building and optimizing indexes in MS SQL and PostgreSQL
 * Creating and managing database partitions
 * Monitoring database performance and tuning them for optimal performance
 * Monitoring index performance and tuning them for optimal performance
 * Ensuring data security and integrity.
 * Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
 * Collaborating with developers to design, develop, and implement new database applications
 * Troubleshooting database issues
