## About the Role

* Title background: Staff / Senior / Principal Software Engineer (SWE track, not DE track)
 * Experience: 10-15 years
 * Technical must-haves: Spark, Kafka, or Databricks + Java or Python
 * Keywords that fit: platform engineering, distributed systems, internal tooling, data quality frameworks, event-driven architecture, microservices, CI/CD

 * Come primarily from a DE / DBA / ETL tools background (Informatica, Talend, stored procedures)
 * Are SQL-only with no software engineering foundation
 * Are currently in a pure management role without hands-on technical work

## Description

* Design and build scalable data platform components (ingestion frameworks, data quality systems, orchestration tooling, internal APIs)
 * Define architecture and set technical standards for the data engineering org
 * Partner with data engineering teams to understand pain points and translate them into reusable platform solutions
 * Own the end-to-end delivery of platform features, from design to production, provide comprehensive IT services to help clients with IT Strategic Planning, Implementation, Deployment, IT Support on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Mobile Application Development, Data Mining and Business Intelligence, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and more
