Working closely with stakeholders in the quantitative research team, this person will help drive technical innovation and scalable design as we build high-quality solutions. Scaling and performance are the key criteria for these systems, but modularity and maintainability are of equal focus. The expectation of the role is to be hands-on, implementing features and capabilities of the next generation system. They will also be part of mentoring and guiding junior members of the team. In addition, they will also be part of on-call support rotations for our Research stakeholders as we maintain our existing applications. To succeed in this role, they will need to have a passion for designing robust architectures at large scale, managing complex dependencies, and validating system migrations.
