Ability to distill complex concepts into clear, persuasive communications. * Solid understanding of data-driven innovation, technology trends, and/or foundational computer science concepts. * Strong business judgment and understanding of the global corporate environment, including practical experience with data protection compliance and privacy management programs. * Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset, proactive approach, and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Additional Interests, Experience or Qualifications: * Understanding of technology trends, computer science and/or data analytics. * Competition law, intellectual property law, and/or regulatory compliance. * Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation. ## Description The primary purpose of the Director of Data, AI and Privacy Policy is to advance CIPL's policy priorities and initiatives in the US in relation to a wide range of AI, privacy, and data related law, policy, implementation and compliance topics, including the US law and policy development process. In addition, the Director of Data, AI and Privacy Policy will also work on international AI, data and privacy projects with CIPL's global team of privacy experts based in London and Brussels., * Hands on drafting and overseeing of CIPL research and deliverables - white papers, reports, op-eds, and other written deliverables. * Working closely with CIPL team members to develop strategies, oversee and implement project plans to advance CIPL's US and global policy agenda on AI, data, and privacy topics.
