The intent of this role is to work as a Site Reliability Engineer treating operations issues as software issues, primarily focused on creating automations to handle issues, and falling back to runbooks or documentation as necessary. This role focuses on working within a team of engineers supporting a variety of applications that range from on-premises,cloud, and platform-as-a-service offerings. Individuals hired for this position will work as part of a cross-functional team supporting project teams associated with individual applications and groups of applications. Primary responsibilities will include configuration and management of application monitoring, logging, and CI/CD systems. Additional tasks will include supporting compliance and maintenance of these applications as extension of application project teams. These tasks will be performed across a variety of technologies and tooling, with a primary focus on AWS cloud hosted applications or migration to AWS cloud, while maintaining systems on-premises as necessary. This position is hybrid in-person and remote-work with in-person effort expected up to three days a week as part of team work days, planning, and prioritizing a backlog of tasks.
