## About the Role

* 4+ years of experience in a carrier Ethernet or large ISP environment
 * Strong expertise in IP networking and network engineering concepts
 * Hands-on experience with routers/switches (Nokia/Alcatel)
 * Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS,)
 * Knowledge of MPLS technologies (RSVP, LDP)
 * Experience with Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, LACP, MC-LAG)
 * Ability to design scalable, highly available, and secure networks

Nice to Have
Certifications such as, Nokia NRS 1 or 2
Experience with data center networking and various transport technologies (fiber, microwave, cellular, etc.)

## Description

This resource will be working remotly during typical daytime business hours in the Alaska time zone Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours a week

What You'll Do

 * Design, implement, and support IP/MPLS core network solutions
 * Test and validate new technologies and architectures in lab environments
 * Develop engineering plans, estimates, and installation packages
 * Provide escalation and troubleshooting support for network operations teams
 * Collaborate across teams to ensure a reliable, scalable, and high-performing network
