Qualifications - Preferred: * Experience in K-12 education or public sector environments * Experience leading network modernization or large-scale infrastructure initiatives * Familiarity with telecommunications systems and unified communications platforms * Experience working in unionized environments or managing field-based technical teams * Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, network engineering, or similar) * Familiarity with Boston and Boston Public Schools ## Description The Senior Director of Technology Enterprise Systems & Security serves as a key member of the Office of Technology leadership team, responsible for the design, integration, security, and reliability of Boston Public Schools' enterprise technology systems. Building upon the foundation of datacenter & security management plus system integrations, this role expands to oversee identity and access management, enterprise platforms, system integrations, data engineering, and cybersecurity operations. The Senior Director is responsible for aligning system architecture, data flow, and security practices into a cohesive and scalable enterprise environment that supports teaching, learning, and district operations. This position leads the development and execution of a unified enterprise systems strategy, ensuring that applications, integrations, and infrastructure operate as an interconnected ecosystem rather than isolated systems. The Senior Director plays a critical role in reducing complexity, eliminating single points of failure, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and enabling reliable, secure access to systems and data across the district.
