## About the Role

Do you have experience in SolidWorks?, Do you have a BTEC?, · Extensive experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 3D models and detailed technical drawings.

· A qualification in Design or Engineering (A Level, BTEC, Apprenticeship, or Degree).

· Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable).

· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

· A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with the ability to support and coach colleagues.

· Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving and planning skills.

· A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across the business.

## Description

You'll take projects from first concept to finished product, using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create smart, efficient designs that work first time. Working closely with sales, production, and fellow designers, you'll have real ownership, real influence, and the chance to continuously improve how things are designed and made.

If you enjoy complex design work, thrive in a collaborative environment, and like seeing your ideas come to life on the shop floor, this could be the perfect next step in your engineering career, · Produce accurate, high-quality 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

· Take ownership of design projects from concept through to completion, working closely with sales, production, and other internal teams.

· Design complex components and tooling, sharing knowledge and supporting junior members of the CAD team.

· Amend, update, and maintain drawings within the drawing management system.

· Translate customer briefs into effective, cost-efficient design solutions in collaboration with the sales and business development teams.

· Generate approval and production drawings and support the processing of orders through the business.

· Plan manufacturing steps and prepare associated technical documentation.

· Work closely with production to ensure drawings are correct, clear, and fit for manufacture.

· Monitor assigned projects and orders to ensure customer expectations, timelines, and profitability targets are met.

· Contribute to the development of new products, tooling, and design improvements.

· Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing more efficient ways of working.

· Support and mentor Junior Design Engineers.
