Experience with formal software testing for complex applications, including identifying and documenting defects and authoring software-quality-related documentation is required. Education: A degree from an accredited college or university in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of the software development cycle and testing methodologies. Proficient in running manual tests and incorporating automated testing processes. Experience with multiple defect tracking tools and using AI-driven tools for test script generation is necessary. Payroll domain knowledge is required, including understanding payroll cycles, tax calculations, and federal, state, and local payroll laws. Preferred Qualifications * Working knowledge of DevSecOps, Agile Scrum, and VersionOne or an equivalent Agile project management tool. * Knowledge of and experience with SDLC practices. * Proficiency in PLSQL. * Experience with payroll systems and processing. * Familiarity with AI/ML tools (e.g., CoPilot, WatsonX, ReDux) for code analysis or pattern recognition. * Mainframe knowledge is a plus. Additional Requirements * Must have lived in the US for the past five years. * Cannot have more than six months of travel outside the United States within the last five years, with an exclusion for military service. * Must be able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs. * Possess strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills. ## Description We are seeking a Test Engineer to interact with developers and stakeholders to define, document, analyze, execute, and interpret system integration tests for a complex payroll software application. This role involves reviewing user requirements, developing test plans and data, and ensuring the proper execution and documentation of test scripts.
