## About the Role

Experience: Experience in applying machine learning for business applications, including model mechanics, problem framing, evaluation, and iterative improvement.

Technical Skills:

 * Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn.
 * Strong fundamentals in statistics and modeling.
 * Experience with feature engineering and selection, including importance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Familiarity with the agriculture or seed domain.
 * Experience with Databricks, including experiment tracking, metrics, and temporal validation discipline.
 * Knowledge of MLflow.

## Description

* Prepare, explore, and engineer data features to improve model performance, interpretability, and reliability.
 * Build, evaluate, and improve machine learning and statistical models to solve practical business problems.
 * Run disciplined experiments using appropriate validation methods, track results, and communicate tradeoffs.
 * Document assumptions, methods, and findings to ensure work is reproducible, maintainable, and understandable.
 * Collaborate effectively within a team, working under a technical lead who sets priorities.
 * Work within a structured project management framework, including agile methodologies, stand-ups, and task tracking.
