## About the Role

* Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
 * Five (5) years of experience as a Database Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
 * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
 * An additional five (5) years of Database Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
 * Experience developing applications using Python.
 * Hands-on experience administering and supporting MongoDB.
 * Experience developing applications using Django and/or Flask.
 * Experience developing RESTful API endpoints.
 * Experience designing and developing microservices.
 * Strong understanding of enterprise database architecture, schema design, and data modeling., * Experience with one or more of the following:
 + Swagger / OpenAPI
 + AWS, C2S, or other cloud platforms
 + Docker
 + Visual Studio Code or similar Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
 + JSON and/or XML serialization
 + Jira
 + Confluence
 + Git version control
 + Agile software development methodologies

## Description

* Direct the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of complex enterprise database solutions supporting secure mission systems.
 * Lead database architecture efforts utilizing cloud methodologies for information storage, retrieval, data flow, and data analysis.
 * Direct the development and maintenance of database structures that align with the overall system architecture.
 * Design and implement new workflows to automate existing manual processes while supporting ongoing break/fix requests and system enhancements.
 * Lead the development of database structures, database parser software, and database loading solutions.
 * Develop and support Python-based RESTful API endpoints and backend microservices.
 * Utilize Django and/or Flask frameworks to develop scalable data management capabilities.
 * Design and support enterprise database solutions leveraging MongoDB and related technologies.
 * Develop services that securely exchange data using JSON and XML serialization.
 * Direct technical efforts throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams within an Agile software development environment.
