This role provisions physical servers, manages configuration automation, and serves as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex hardware and software issues. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure performance and resilience while operating within formal change management processes. Responsibilities + Deploy and provision physical servers using a network-based PXE boot environment. + Automate operating system, software, and configuration deployments using Ansible. + Manage and maintain production Linux servers to ensure reliability, consistency, and high availability. + Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex server hardware and software configuration issues. + Participate in scheduled server patching and maintenance cycles in accordance with established procedures. + Execute production deployments within an established change management process. + Evaluate and test server hardware to support standardization and reliability objectives. + Perform and document hardware Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to validate equipment performance and quality. + Investigate, document, and report root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment or process failures. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency., The Infrastructure Engineer works in a production-focused environment that manages Linux servers and physical infrastructure.
