## About the Role

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
 * Experience working on 11kV-33kV systems and above
 * Competence in HV switching (AP/CP authorisation desirable)
 * Strong understanding of electrical protection systems
 * Full UK driving licence

Desirable

 * Experience working within substations or distribution network environments
 * Familiarity with HV commissioning processes
 * Additional HV authorisations or safety certifications

## Description

* Play a key role in the safe installation, maintenance and repair of high-voltage electrical systems across substations, industrial sites and distribution networks
 * Ensure the reliable operation of HV assets in line with statutory regulations and company procedures
 * Work within a skilled engineering team delivering essential HV services to critical infrastructure, * Carry out planned and reactive HV maintenance on switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers and associated equipment
 * Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain system reliability
 * Install HV components, cabling and protection systems to engineering specifications
 * Perform HV testing (VLF, insulation resistance, pressure testing) and support commissioning activities
 * Work in accordance with HV safety rules, permits, RAMS and UK legislation including EAWR and PUWER
 * Complete job sheets, test records and asset documentation accurately
