Substitution: College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience., If education is completed in a foreign college or university, it may be used to meet the above requirements, if applicable. If utilizing this education, you must show that the education credentials have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in the interpretation of foreign educational credentials and that such education has been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs or an accredited U.S. state university reports the other institution as one whose transcript is given full value, or full value is given in subject areas applicable to the curricula at the state university. What you will be doing: You are invited to join our dynamic and mission-driven Assessment Unit team as a Senior Services Technician. In this role, you will be: * Physically process and issue time-sensitive notifications for programs that promote independence and quality care, including Alaska's Living Independently (ALI) Waiver, Adults with Physical and Development Disabilities (APDD) Waiver, and State Plans programs Personal Care Services (PCS) and Community First Choice (CFC). * Provide paraprofessional assistance and program information to our team and community partners. * Collaborate with Health Program Manager 2 Assessors, clients, legal representatives, PCS Agencies, Care Coordinators, Assisted Living Homes, and other partners regarding notices and assessment scheduling. The working environment you can expect: This position is located in Anchorage, Alaska. Our office is in Northeast Anchorage (1835 Bragaw St Ste 350). It is near Costco, East High School, various restaurants, and a coffee shop. Parking is readily available at the building. Our team consists of 18 assessors, 3 supervisors, and currently 2 support staff who work closely and cooperatively under the direction of the Assessment Unit Manager.
